ROLAIR Air Compressor Quick Start Guide

So, you just purchased a brand new ROLAIR gas-powered belt drive air compressor and you want to make sure you start off on the right foot, right? Check out our Quick Start Guide for tips on setting up and starting your new favorite piece of equipment. Scroll down for an equally effective run-down of the starting procedures.


Set-Up

  1. Ensure filter is installed hand-tight and intake port is free of any debris. Clean or replace filter as necessary.

  2. Most ROLAIR compressors come pre-filled with oil. Check oil siteglass before starting and add if necessary. See manual for fill amount and oil specifications.

  3. Fill with fresh, regular unleaded gasoline with a minimum of 87 octane. Leave 1-inch air gap between fuel and cap.

Start-Up

  1. Leave unloader valve toggle down AT ALL TIMES.

  2. Open drain valve(s).

  3. In cold temperatures, close choke (left).

  4. Open fuel valve (right).

    Step 4
  5. Power On.

  6. Pull cord.

    Step 6
  7. Ensure choke is completely open during operation.

  8. Close drain valve(s) after unit warms up.

  9. Always operate in a level position.
